ISO 80 f/ 2.7 1/60 For photo assignment 5 I decided to do black and white. Some of my pictures are older and some of them were new. For all of them I had to turn down the saturation all the way. With most of them I made the shadows and blacks darker and the highlights and whites brighter. For this assignment I learned how you have to make the contrast between the different layers stand out more than usual.

During this assignment we had to take two different types of portrait pictures. We had to go to a window in the school and use a bounce card(right) and we also had o go to the studio and use different types of lights(left). For photo assignment 4 I decided to try food. My family and I went to Ruth's Chris is downtown Ann Arbor where I got to take pictures of a bunch of really good dishes. During this assignment I learned how important it is to have good lighting. ISO 400 f/ 4.0 1/8 second For this project we had to take a old picture that someone turned in before. We had to edit the picture to make it look better. We all had to take out the background and get rid of the light reflections in on the hood.
For photo assignment 3, I decided to try out macro. I went outside right after it rained and I got some cool pictures with rain drop. I learned how angles affect the picture.
For the second photo assignment I decided to try out light painting. During this assignment I took two black blankets that I found around my house and used painters tape and taped them to the wall next to my bed and my bedside table. In this assignment I learned that a lot of different things go into making this kind f picture look good. You have to make sure the light doesn't go directly into the lends and that your the shutter is open for long enough. During this assignment we had to create pop-are out of one of the pictures of a person that we already had on our computer. We had to make pop-art with 4 boxes and there is one red, and green, one blue, and one yellow box.
For the first photo assignment, I decided to shoot pictures involving nature. I just picked up my camera and went into my backyard and started taking pictures of the trees, plants, and I got my dogs in a few. From this shoot I learned that the lighting you are in is very very important for the outcome of a picture. It was hard to adjust my camera to make the lighting look good but sadly some of them turned out grainy. |
